“REVEALING TRUTHS AND BREAKING STIGMAS" ZINE PROJECT

The zine contains stories about sexual violence and harassment submitted anonymously by students, as well as opinion pieces written by team members, alongside puzzles, stunning art designs, and resources on every page.

“REVEALING TRUTHS AND BREAKING STIGMAS" VIDEO PROJECT TRAILER

In November 2018, the team brought in talented cinematographers to film students reading out the anonymous stories submitted for the zine, as well as three students who shared their own stories of sexual violence. This video project began in late February 2019, with a new video every week. Check out our socials for more.

CURRENT ACTIONS

O WEEK MARKET DAY 2019

The STOP Campaign was lucky enough to take part in ANU's Market Day for 2019. Market Day is arguably one of the biggest events on campus, so our involvement in this was an amazing achievement. Our stall for the day provided students with plenty of merchandise, as well as a variety of factsheets and resources (including a sneak-peek at pages from our upcoming zine!). Inspired by End Rape on Campus Australia’s photo campaign, we took advantage of Market Day to kick off our own #WeWillListen Campaign.

A huge number of students were photographed holding up a banner which read “#WeWillListen”. The aim of this initiative is to bring light to the fact that there isn’t a first responders’ network for friends of survivors. It is often the case that a survivor will disclose to a trusted friend as opposed to a professional. Through #WeWillListen, we aim to foster a community of supporters, and participation at Market Day proved a positive step towards this. Overall, the stall enabled us to generate important conversations with the community about The STOP Campaign, what we offer, our upcoming projects and spread the word of us campus wide.

#WEWILLLISTEN CAMPAIGN

We are building a community of supporters through our #WeWillListen campaign because we acknowledge that there isn’t a first responders’ network for friends of survivors. Find this campaign at all of our upcoming events.
